COVID-19 Could Make A Come Back Again: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday asserted that COVID-19 could make a comeback again.

''No one knows how and when the pandemic could come back,'' he said this while launching the COVID-19 vaccination for children between 12-14 years at Rukminigaon Balika Vidyalaya.

He further said that the COVID-19 has taken away many lives also brought the economy to standstill, adding,'' We remain economically backward due to the pandemic and the coronavirus has affected our lives.''

Mentioning the recent rise in cases in China, Sarma said that one should be very careful as no one knows how and when the pandemic return back.

He also urged the masses to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

''Around 4.35 crore people have been vaccinated in Assam and now the government aims to vaccinate the Children,'' he added.

He also asked the teacher to ensure that no children should take vaccine without having the breakfast.
